Community

Huntsmans is an important part of the Cotswolds community in terms of the products we produce and the jobs we provide. We also contribute where we can to local causes. We nonetheless recognise that our activities can have an impact on our neighbours and make every effort to minimise them.

For example, we use silenced hydraulic breakers to replace the explosives previously used for extraction. The visual impact of our workings has been reduced through creating grassed screening banks and planting hedges and trees. Land is restored progressively at our quarry in Naunton so that it can quickly be returned to agriculture. We have also constructed and landscaped a quarry underpass to eliminate disruption to traffic on the public highway.

A good relationship with our neighbours is important to Huntsmans and we regularly open our gates to local residents for open days and school visits. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit.
