The safety of our employees is our top priority. As a member of the Quarry Products Association (QPA), our quarrying activities are part of a national initiative that has halved the industry’s accident rate over the five-year period to March 2005. With its fellow quarry operators, Huntsmans is now working hard towards a target of zero accidents.

Our efforts have been rewarded by the QPA with a trophy for the small company with the most outstanding health and safety performance at the industry’s annual awards in 2005. Read more here in the QPA press release.

We are actively supporting the creation of a guide, website (www.safequarry.com) and DVD, designed to share health and safety ideas and knowledge across the industry.

There is also a new interactive online game which aims to communicate the dangers of trespassing in quarries to young people. (www.quarryrescue.com)
